Mental Health Development Lead for Wales

Andrea is the Mental Health Development Lead for Wales, overseeing policy implementation, service development and quality improvement within mental health and learning disability services.

Andrea brings a wealth of experience, having held various roles within mental health services, working as a probation officer in London and South Wales, before specialising in forensic mental health and then in managing community mental health services. Andrea qualified as a systemic and family therapist in 2001 and has also held a position in Welsh Government as the Mental Health Legislation Manager.

Andrea is committed to using the best available evidence and data to inform and drive service improvement and is passionate about putting what matters to service users, their families, and carers at the heart of the design and delivery of services.
