Public Health Wales aims to create an organisational culture that supports and drives quality through improvement and innovation. To support our work, earlier this year we undertook a scoping exercise internally and externally to develop an Improvement and Innovation hub (I&I hub). Now we want to support our staff to develop their improvement and innovation capability and deliver their ideas. To kick start this process the I&I hub is pleased to announce that bids are currently invited for applications for funding to support improvement and innovation ideas within Public Health Wales. The purpose of the fund is to provide small grants, normally not more than £10k per project, to support projects that have the potential to deliver improvements and innovations in health and care delivery.
Felicity Hamer, Head of Strategy and Innovation, Improvement Cymru, said, “The I&I hub is working to support both large scale strategic improvements and innovations and grass roots ideas put forward by staff across all of the directorates. The fund is a fantastic opportunity for staff to apply for support to take forward a small idea that can make a big difference!”
We’re interested in funding projects or activities that can make a positive change to the way we work, how things are done and how we can do them differently. We especially welcome ideas that have the potential to be spread and scaled after the duration of the grant. For further information about the fund see the guidance notes.
The scheme will close to applications at 17:00 on Friday 7 October 2022. Applicants will be notified of their submission outcome during the week commencing 24 October.
