Announcing the finalists of the NHS Wales Awards 2024

In March, we launched the NHS Wales Awards 2024 with 12 brand new categories, aligned with the Duty of Quality and Health and Care Quality Standards 2023.

The NHS Wales Awards celebrate excellence in improvement and quality across health and care in Wales, showcasing the incredible quality and safety improvement work that has transformed the experience and outcomes for people in Wales.

We were thrilled to receive a large number of entries this year, highlighting the breadth of the fantastic improvement projects taking place across the health and care system in Wales. The judging panel were humbled by the calibre of entries received and found shortlisting incredibly difficult, one judge said…

After much deliberation from our judges, we’re delighted to announce the shortlisted entries.

The judging panel will now hold a virtual visit with each finalist to find out more about their projects and see first-hand the benefits they’ve brought to patients. Each judging panel is formed of experts drawn from across NHS Wales, the public sector and professional bodies.

Winners will be announced at the NHS Wales Awards 2024 ceremony on 24 October 2024.
