Upper Gastrointestinal (Oesophagogastric) Education Event 2024

This free to attend event is aimed at multidisciplinary colleagues involved in the diagnosis, treatment and care of patients with Oesophagogastric cancers, including primary care, nursing, AHPs as well as secondary care upper GI teams.

We're pleased to confirm external speaker Maddy Young from Tenovus Cancer Care who will present on their recent report entitled 'A Burning Issue', which explores the poor outcomes for people affected by stomach and oesophageal cancers in Wales. The agenda will also include a patient speaker who will talk on their experience of oesophagectomy, as well as updates on capsule sponge, transnasal endoscopy (TNE), dietetics and immunotherapy advances.

Cancer Network Head and Neck Cancer Education Event 2024

This free to attend event is aimed at colleagues from across Wales involved or interested in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with head and neck cancer.

We're pleased to confirm a number of exciting external speakers including key note speaker Professor Kevin Harrington, Head of Division and Group Leader, The Institute of Cancer Research, and patient representative Laura Marston. There will also be sessions on research and innovation, managing and communicating risk, and workforce and the extended scope of roles.

Cancer Network Breast Cancer Conference

This free to attend event is aimed at colleagues from across Wales involved or interested in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with breast cancer. The day will provide the opportunity to learn, network and share examples of good practice with sessions on oncology, radiology, genetics and pathology.

The South Wales Sarcoma service is hosting a one-day educational day held in collaboration with the National Strategic Clinical Network for Cancer, to educate, inform and discuss the management pathway of suspicious lumps. The event is aimed at GPs, MSK Radiologists, Secondary Care Clinicians, Allied Health Professionals and Nurse Practitioners.
